3-5 Years Old
Preschoolers are considered active learners who are beginning to show independence and increasing curiosity about the world around them. They are starting to investigate the widening world by experimenting with their developing use of language and social skills. Kiddee Korner provides a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages our preschoolers to research, experiment, observe and explore, at their own pace.
Children in our preschool program are encouraged to unfold their natural ability to learn through play. We follow the HighScope curriculum, a well-integrated teaching method that not only helps young children excel in language and cognitive learning, but also promotes independence, curiosity, decision making, cooperation, persistence, creativity and problem solving – fundamental skills which lead to success in life.
Our preschool program meets all state standards and supports early childhood development and Pre-k readiness of pre-school age children. Our highly qualified staff members all meet the New Jersey State Department of Education Early Childhood Certification standards and are subject to ongoing training which keeps them up to date on the most current educational research and best practices for Early Childhood education.
Family participation is a key component of our preschool program. Parents and guardians are encouraged to participate in school activities as partners in supporting their child’s education, growth and success in school. We have an open-door policy that allows parents/guardians come to in at any time and observe or share their child’s day. Teachers collaborate with parents/guardians to extend the learning process outside the classroom. As a parent, it is important to us that you know that we are a team –all of us working together for the benefit of your child. In this type of environment, one of cooperation and mutual respect, your child will flourish and build a strong educational foundation.
